Once again many thanks for all your well wishes for Majik since my last post ~ you are such a nice bunch out there in blogland!
I have an update ~ Majik didn't go to the vets on Tuesday for her x-ray, because I cancelled the appointment! Now you are all probably thinking 'mad woman' cancelling the poor dog's appointment because she is worried about the anaesthetic! Well, it wasn't quite like that ~ after our lovely Valentine's meal last Thursday evening Hubby had taken the Friday off so we could "do something", well the "something" was a trip to Moreton in Marsh which is just a stone's throw from us, this was at my request. I wish I hadn't bothered ~ sorry to anyone reading this who actually lives in Moreton in Marsh or likes it, but it was pretty boring. We struggled to find anywhere to have lunch that we liked and the only saving grace was a couple of nice charity shops!
So, we arrive home and unpack our shopping, have a cup of tea etc, etc and because I am totally out of my routine I forget to give Majik her medicine. This I remember on waking up on Saturday morning ~ I was fully expecting a poorly puppy hobbling around the house on three legs! What I actually had was an extremely bouncy puppy not even showing any signs of a limp or being in pain. Now the vet had said on our last visit that she thought if we took Majik off the medicine she would be in significant pain, so Hubby and I decided to withhold her medicine for another couple of days and see what happens ~ in a nutshell nothing. By Monday I had decided that putting her through a general anaesthetic when she was showing no symptoms was crazy ~ I cancelled and felt a huge sense of relief. To date Majik is still fine ~ I have some medicine left just in case, but after this length of time I don't think she is going to need it.
Right, now if there is anyone still following this post I have another card to share today. A male themed card using a set of stamps that came free with a magazine.
As you can see I temporarily gave up on the photo tent ~ I was in a rush to photograph this card and decided I didn't have time to do a couple of rounds with it! I have since found a tutorial on setting it up on You Tube, so might have another bash!
CARD RECIPE
Image: Papermania Chronology stamp set (free with Issue 37 of docrafts Creativity magazine) which was then embossed with black embossing powder
Backing Papers: Bazzil Basics and some old papers from my scrap pile (the pocket watch image is a stamp in the set and was stamped onto the scrap paper with Memento London Fog), the metallic 'paper' that the stamped image is mounted on is also very old ~ it is a self adhesive sheet with 'Mrs Grossman's Scrapbook Symmetry' in the colourway 'Salvaged Ship' written on the back!
Die Cut 'cogs' ~ Xcut Chronology Cogs
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat 'Happy Birthday Sentiments' which then had a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp with the sentiment masked off stamped over it to give the border.
Ribbon and Brads from stash box.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
